Washington High School starts the 2016-2017 school year with a 1,000 new books.

The library is open Monday through Friday. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday the library is open from 7:35-3:30. On Wednesday its open from 8:35-3:30, and on Friday 7:35-3:00. It is open during lunch and students are assigned a table to ensure it is “a quiet study time,” said librarian Heather Babb.

Students can request a new book. They need to fill out a form and the book needs to be school appropriate. Then librarian Heather Babb will order it for students.

Students as well can check out E-books and Nooks. For the E-books students just need a device and its free. While for the Nooks students need permission.

Don’t forget to check out Book/It, the library club. They meet every Wednesday after school at 2:45.
